Niek is extremely happy and privileged being able to perform on one of the very few existing violins made by the Cremonese Master: Carlo Bergonzi.

Niek has been playing on this instrument for over three years thanks to the 'Tjardus Greidanus Stichting' in Amsterdam

Carlo Bergonzi worked in the shop of Stradivari and only about 40 of his violins are still remaining and played by great soloists and concertmasters. 

This Bergonzi is made in the year 1729 in Cremona and has been given the name 'ex-Vornbaum' after one of his owners in the 19th century.
